Young At Heart

Young At Heart is a local non-profit providing hot, nutritious meals 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) to seniors and other community members in the Senior Center at the Gunnison Community Recreation Center, 200 E Spencer Avenue. If you cannot attend, you can have your meal delivered to you at home by calling before 10AM the day of the meal request at (970) 641-2107.

Gunnison Community Recreation Center

The Gunnison Community Recreation Center (200 E. Spencer Avenue) offers a variety of classes and activities to seniors, including Silver Sneakers memberships, Pickleball, and fitness classes. For more information on classes and becoming a member, please call (970) 641-8060.

Western Colorado University

Western Colorado University offers several opportunities for continues learning. The current schedule for the Extended Studies program is available online. Seniors, ages 62 and older, can register for non-credit classes at ½ price. If you would like to be added to the mailing list you can contact the Extended Studies office at (970) 943-2885 and provide your contact information.

Gunnison County Library District

The Gunnison County Library District (with locations in Gunnison and Crested Butte) has a wide selection of large print books and books on tape or CD. They also have computers available for public use.
