What is Fentanyl?

Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use as an analgesic (pain relief) and anesthetic. It is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin as an analgesic.

What are fentanyl test strips?

Fentanyl test strips (‘FTS’) are a form of inexpensive drug testing technology that is effective at detecting the presence of fentanyl and fentanyl-analogs in drug samples. FTS has some known limitations. They do not measure the quantity or potency of fentanyl present in a drug sample. If misused, FTS may not be effective in detecting fentanyl. So, PLEASE ensure you are following instructions properly. The following visual guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to test one’s drugs for fentanyl contamination:
