How do I add, remove or change a name on my property?: The title on property can be changed only by a recorded deed which you must take to the County Recording Office before the Assessor’s and Treasurer's records can be modified to reflect any changes. The County Recording Office is located in the Blackstock Government Building 221 N. Wisconsin St. Suite C Gunnison, CO 81230.

1. When are property taxes due?: Half-payment option due dates are February 28th and June 15th. Full-payment option due date is April 30th.

2. When are property tax bills sent out?: Bills are sent out in January of every year.

3. How do I change my billing address?: Contact the Assessor's Office at 970-641-1085.

6. Why are my property taxes so high?: You will need to contact the Assessor's Office at 970-641-1085 to discuss this.

7. Can I pay my property taxes with a credit card?: Yes you may, through a company we outsource through and they accept online payments only, no phone payments. To do this, go to the home page of the Gunnison County website, and towards the middle of the page there will be a green bar with a list of different services and you will see "Online Payments" there. Click on it and it will take you to the website.
