Mountain View Apartments

Information

Mountain View Apartments are independent-living apartments for seniors and persons with disabilities. Mountain View is funded by HUD providing affordable apartments for folks with low or extremely low income. Rent is calculated based on income annually. Rent includes heat, water, sewer, and trash.

The community room features a TV, gaming tables and exercise bikes and is free for residents to use. Other building features include on-site laundry, free weekly Gunnison newspaper delivery, elevator, locked entrances, automatic doors, and resident-planted flowerbeds.

Qualification Requirements

All household members must be US citizens. At least one household member must be over age 62 or disabled.

Annual income cannot exceed 50% of the local AMI ($39,350 for 2025, updated annually). Assets owned cannot be in excess of $50,000.

One pet is allowed per unit. All animals are required to be registered with City of Gunnison and pay a $300 pet deposit.
