Medical Insurance

Deductibles

Gunnison County offers eligible employees two partially self-funded medical plan options:

  • Traditional Plan
  • High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA)

Effective September 1st, 2017, the medical plan was modified to be a single level plan. There are no benefit differentials when using In-Network or Non-Network providers.

Enrollment Changes

Once enrolled, the employee will be committed to the insurance plan selected until the following January unless there is a change in family status. Status changes that qualify are listed below.

  • Eligibility of a Child changes
  • Marriage or Separation
  • Separation from the County
