The purpose of the Senior Resources Program is to provide information, assessment, case management, advocacy and referral services to adults and families so they can have an improved quality of life.

Welcome to Gunnison County Seniors online! Our community offers so much each month- Please take time to visit the calendar section for all kinds of events, special programs and services that might be of interest to you.

We publish “The Senior Scoop” regularly in The Gunnison Country Shopper. The Senior Scoop includes up-to-date information on local events, services available for seniors, health, safety & wellness tidbits and much more. Young At Heart
Young At Heart is an organization that provides a great social opportunity along with a delicious hot meal every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. If you are unable to leave your home to attend the lunches due to illness or disability, you may order the same hot meals to be delivered to your home by a friendly volunteer. For prices and more information, please contact the Young At Heart office at 641-2107.

Boomers & Beyond
Check out Gunnison’s first dedicated hangout for folks age 50+, now in the W Mountain Room of the Community Center, 200 E. Spencer (same area where Young At Heart meets). Volunteers will welcome you with a cup of coffee & conversation Monday thru Friday 10am - 4pm. Closed Saturday & Sunday. Stop by or call Dan Vollendorf, City of Gunnison Parks & Recreation Supervisor, at 641-8422 to find out about activities and outings planned specifically for those age 50 and better!

The City of Gunnison Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of classes and activities. Check out their website for up-to-date information about this season’s offerings or call them at 641-8060. The Community Center is located at 200 East Spencer in Gunnison. 
Gunnison County Senior Transportation
Gunnison Living Community provides transportation services to the Young at Heart lunch, Community Center and in-town errands on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. To arrange a ride, please call 596-6700, at least 24 hours in advance of needing a ride. There is no charge for those 60+, however donations a gratefully accepted and encouraged.
