Filing a Complaint
If you believe there has been a violation of the equal employment opportunity (EEO), American Disabilities Act (ADA), or Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) policy; or that harassment based on the protected classes outlined above has occurred, including sexual harassment, please use the complaint resolution process.

Gunnison County expects employees to make a timely complaint to enable the county to promptly investigate and correct any behavior that may be in violation of the above policies.

First Step
Report the incident to the human resources director or any member of management so the matter can be promptly investigated. Your complaint, as well as any information collected from others participating in the investigation, will be kept as confidential as practicable.

If Gunnison County determines that an employee’s behavior is in violation of these policies, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the offending employee, up to and including termination of employment.
